Wow John.. I'm just sick about Joao! If there is anyway to help that you know of...
Not trying to shortchange God's ability to bring about a resolution that is equitable, But, If being like a roman to a roman here might mean considering making a donation as is there tradition (obviously not ours)I would be willing to help. It's hard not to think of it as rewarding evil, but it may be a nesessary one to recover Joao's fate. Just an offer, not a suggestion on how to deal with the situation. That is obviously left in your hands to walk in obedience to what God is availing to you.
And yes, we are praying for all of you!
Peace

John, i cried when i read your last blog, your spirituality, your mandate. My tears were not just because it was emotional and heart moving but because i look around a developed nation here where christians call down the gifts and the 'spiritual blessings' of God and yet so many of them don't really know what it is to open their homes up to someone, let alone their lives. I think it just pains me to think that in Mozambique we were asked to preach/share because we were white and a western greeting was much hoped for, but so much of what the white have to preach about is selfish and individualistic. An understanding of the reality of the gospel and of the life that Jesus asks us to follow was never more real to me than in Moz, where servanthood wasn't a temporary action for a specific meeting when your rota told you it was your turn but it was as natural as breathing (cheesy I know!), but as much as you guys get up in the morning is as much as you serve all morning and afternoon and evening. I love the fact that you know what it is to truly and fully rely on your God and more I love the way God who is faithful comes through. Those boys are part of the most fantastic family and i hope God renders each one of them just as fully submissive to him and in love with him as their role models are. xxxx p.s. keep babbling John, we love it!!!

I'm glad the blog is here so that I can read about things as they develop. The entry on mangos reminds me of the Tony Bird song "Mango Time" (http://www.rounder.com/?id=album.php&catalog_id=5474)--click on the song link. Thanks! Sherri

John,
Wow! THe party was a success! I received many comments from people about how blessed they were to see that you were a servant who really "puts his hand to the wheel". I wish you could have been here to talk to them personally but the DVD was a good 2nd.
I concur with Cas- I can picture things as you described in your blog. How is Ross doing with the damage to Biques? Tell him that I am praying for him.
Love, Terri
