I thought I would let everyone know that the rain has
finally come.We have had a day of
fairly steady rain and a few vicious down pours. We have a team with us at the moment and we spent the morning
planting corn soybean sesame sunflower in the rain.Of course we had a general mud and water fight.
We appreciate all
your prayers as per our situation, we were very bad off with our water we had
only enough to cook and were rationing our drinking water. The new rains, when it has been long coming,
usually dirty up the water so we won’t have drinking water for a few days but
it will be nice to be back to taking showers.I haven’t had one for a few weeks, just the bucket. We have plenty of water that we are
collecting from the run off for cooking. When it started raining it was the middle of the night and it was so
lovely to have rain I got up just to watch it!!

Hi John, I just got a letter from your mother today after not hearing from her for over a year, so glad to hear she is doing ok. In her news letter she gave your web site so just wanted to tell you hi and let you know we will be praying for your work with the boys.
I have had my mother (Eva) living with us since last June 2008. She is failing but still enjoys to eat - ha! but that is good. Her short term memory is not good either, but she is glad to be with me.
Please don't forget to pray for America. I am proud we have elected a black President but so disappointed that he is so liberal in his beliefs. (for abortion and gay marriage). I don't believe God can bless America when people ignore the Bible's teachings. It scares me that the liberals are trying to make America a Socialistic Society. This all reminds me of Jeremiah when he kept telling the people of Jerusalem to turn from their sins, but the people would not listen and then God allowed the Babylonians to take them over. Oh well, God is in control.
Paul and I had two children, Shelley and Troy and they have given us 6 Grandchildren. (3 boys and 3 girls). Their ages are between 18 and 8. We have a great time with the grandchildren.
We had a minister from South Africa, Dede Bacon. His parents came to visit and I mentioned your story and marriage to Gale and believe it or not they knew her parents and knew all about her accident, but this was a few years ago. We have since moved and go to another church so don't see Dede any more. I just thought this was so interesting.
Hope this finds you well. May God bless and keep you always.
